Stained Glass Courses


 Our studio is based in the heart of the South Downs national park, at Amberley Museum, surrounded by traditional crafts and attractions. We run our courses in this beautiful place and to make a provisional booking please contact us. Lessons are taught by David Batchelor with over 25 years experience making and teaching traditional stained glass.

One day  introduction to stained glass course.

Learn how to draw / design and cut glass, then assemble your decorative glass panel.

Course Duration
9 a.m - 4 p.m
One to One tuition - £ 140
One to two tuition - £230 (£115 per person)
All tools and materials are included in the course fee.

Two day stained glass course.

Learn how to draw, design, cut glass and fundamental skills using glass painting brushes including firing,
then assemble your stained glass panel.

Course Duration
9 a.m - 4 p.m
One to One tuition - £ 240
One to two tuition - £420 (£210 per person)
All tools and materials are included in the course fee.


How to Book

Please use the contact form or call to discuss an interest in a course. We will arrange a mutually convenient date. Once the date is agreed a 50% deposit  payment will be expected. 

Do I Need to Bring Anything With Me?

You will get quite dirty so must bring an old over shirt or apron to protect your clothes. Gloves and goggles will be provided.
Please dress sensibly, even under the apron or overshirt. Sensible footwear is essential - no open toed sandals when working with glass.
Please bring lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day.

Our courses are one to one learning and will include a project of your choice to be taken away with you upon completion.
